Kansas State Florists' Association Inception,
The Kansas State Florists' Association was begun in 1921 with C.E. Hubbard of Topeka serving as the first president. In 1959, the organization incorporated. Over seventy-five presidents, representing all parts of Kansas, have served since the organization’s inception.
Kansas State Florists’ Association Incorporation
The objects of the association shall be to advance the education of its members in the scientific, business, social and all other phases of the floral industry; to promote a more general appreciation and use of floriculture products on the part of the general public; to hold meetings and exhibitions on the furtherance of these objectives; to cooperate with the United States Department of Agriculture, The State of Kansas Department of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture at the Kansas State University, and with other horticultural organizations in the dissemination of horticulture knowledge; and to engage as incident to any of the objectives named herein, in any lawful activity consistent with the public interest, which will further and advance the efficient progress of the florist industry
